Child Protection Policy

It is the policy of this school to seek to identify and protect those children in our care who may suffer from any form of abuse [as defined in the policy details].

Policy Principles

All children have the right to grow up in a safe environment.
Child protection will be non-discriminatory and will give due consideration to a child’s race, religion, culture, language and gender.

This policy aims:

  • To provide a framework, which enables the school to provide support for, identified children at risk.

  • To provide a framework which enable the school to identify children at risk.

  • To follow a procedure which enables the school to monitor how situations develop over a period of time.

  • To respond to changes in circumstance for all pupils for whom there are concerns.

  • To ensure that inter-agency work is promoted to safe guard the welfare of children.

  • To promote prevention of abuse and neglect through curriculum studies.
