Governors

School governors are like a Board of Directors, making strategic decisions about the qua lity and style of education. They have legal duties, controls and responsibilities, but can only act together as a whole body; they can not act individually.

School Governors are parents, teachers, other school staff, Local Council Representatives and community representatives.

Stockingford Junior School has a strong and enthusiastic governing body, who are committed to working in partnership with the Head Teacher & Staff in order to provide the best education for our children.

We meet at least twice each term, and if you are interested in reading the minutes of our meetings, a copy can be found in our school reception area.

Sub-Committees

Our governing body also forms three sub-committees, who meet to discuss specific issues, and then report back to the full governing body.
